Kit Design Tutorial for BeginnersHere

The country of Afghanistan has had a tumultuous couple of decades, but sport has played a major part in that period, and is often a beacon of hope for people with challenging lives.

The 392nd stage of the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) was duly dedicated to the Afghanistan national team - the representative side of the Afghanistan Football Federation - and it didn’t disappoint.

Two entries that are the fruits of their creators going down an ultra-modern, minimalist route are Ochoa510’s inverted-shield affair and B3BAN’s circular badge featuring a lion (of Khorasan) head.

Lovely, and saying all they needed to by way of a simple graphic and the red, green, white and black, but they didn’t make the podium.

Once the votes were counted, no bronze medal was awarded, two silvers were - to uni0 (see the aforementioned stylings) and OTHYcreative - and Tombot came out on top with a lovely roundel incorporating Persian/Farsi script and a Telstar-style football in a landscape scene.

Brilliant, and may sport continue to offer hope in Afghanistan.
