It's been a little while since the last DF podcast - though I did have a very fun chat with Austin Long from the Soccer Nomad pod in the intervening period - so it was certainly time for another. Recorded nearly two weeks ago now - sorry - it was high time I welcomed back True Colours author John Devlin, and we had an enjoyable discussion on the subject of football kit sponsorship.
To mark the 40th anniversary of Derek Dougan putting the Kettering Tyres wording on the front of Kettering Town's shirts, John and I explored the benefits and drawbacks of sponsorship - I have written about the latter and the former previously - and the innovation that accompanies many agreements.
