One of the many charming aspects of the Kit of the Week challenge is the possibility, as happened with the Bologna edition, of shared glory.
No extra time, no penalty shootouts - though tie-breakers have their place elsewhere - if the voting delivers an equal score, then, like two opposing captains holding the Charity Shield aloft (ask your parents), honours really are even.
On this occasion, it was cukun - then “Silky Smooth” - and Corinth who came out on top, both providing Bologna with very stylish change designs.
cukun’s offering combines a deep-green base with patterning made up of the Italian Serie A side’s famous red and blue, while Corinth’s measured enlargement of the crest’s cross - again in the recognisable tones - makes for an impactful look.
There were other contenders, including giannakakis with their repurposing of a pattern we’ve seen before, but two’s company and three’s a crowd. Congratulations to the winners.
