The 270th stage of the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge saw another win for fayed, as well as a fantastic selection of HNK Rijeka designs.
The Croatian side were spoilt for choice, should they have elected to engage with any of the designers, as the standard was particularly high.
Nothing new in KOTW, but this edition had a certain bonus charm as, while HNK Rijeka are big in Croatia, we can’t help thinking that a certain Olympique de Marseille were brought to mind once entries came in - or maybe we’re just projecting.
Anyway, innovation was the order of the day, so Dan808 delivered with their - almost trademark - glow effect, cukun went for something wonderfully out there, and if AmorKuma’s sky-blue-and-gold Meyba pseudo-taping is yet to be seen - is it? - then it surely has to happen at some point.
Two of those entries also did fun things with crosses, and kReator, Kevski77 and ONI - and more - can be added to that list.
But, as we say, it was again fayed who came out on top. Puma vibes to the team/city name emblazoned across the front but the winning design’s a tonal masterpiece and worthy of the glory it provoked via the voting.
