Kit Design Tutorial for BeginnersHere

About to represent South America - CONMEBOL - in the upcoming 2023 FIFA Club World Cup in Saudi Arabia, Fluminense Football Club are one of the best sides in Brazil and certainly worthy of their stage in the Kit of the Week (KOTW) challenge.

And the prospect of designing a shirt for Flu got DF members pretty exercised.

Some went for Aways, like derkamartz did, with a curious (fan shot?) watermark print, and CBDesign12 did, with a StopStripes™-y pattern on a shirt displayed over a lovely trademarked mannequin, but Homes arguably best demonstrate Fluminense’s famous Tricolor look.

The primary shirts really showcase the burgundy white, and green, in stripe form, as entries included a celebration of three eras of Umbro design - santiagoalies’ 1970s-influenced creation, FMKGaz taking cues from the early 1990s’ “barcode” releases, and matthewfootball giving Umbro circa, well, now.

The shirts didn’t have to, as far as we know, carry the British supplier’s diamonds - as attested by Kevski77’s beautifully balanced and neat offering - but the winning design certainly did, although the stylings are mostly Corinth.

So Corinth, via the voting, bags another win. We await to see if Fluminese get a victory of their own - making them the premier club side in the world!
