Paris FC are often the forgotten men, and women, of the French capital. All the column inches seem to go the way of Paris Saint-Germain and Red Star, with PFC barely appearing on most’s radar.

Not here at DF, particularly in our challenges. Previously featuring in our Crest Redesign Competition Weekly, Paris FC have now done the double by becoming the subject of a Kit of the Week (KOTW) stage too.

DF’s members haven’t been overawed by their crest-designing tasks in recent weeks, embracing the brief to supply, in theory if not practice, both the DFB and giants of Argentine football Club Atlético River Plate.

That said, plenty of the entries for the 276th Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW) stage clearly came from a thinking that the iconic current crest is too appropriate to abandon.

The colourful Sampaio Corrêa stage is coming to an end, and it’s the last chance to vote for a favourite Paris FC upload, but the 223rd Kit of the Week (KOTW) was won by Corinth.

With Deportivo Alavés the subject, plenty of blue and white, mainly striped shirts were entered - along with a couple which referred to the Basque club’s exciting Uefa Cup Final encounter with Liverpool in 2001 - but Corinth came out on top with a burgundy Away number.

The Crusaders stage and voting on the River Plate chapter are about to close but pierrelapa was a few days ago announced as providing the best German national team crest.

The Crest Redesign Competition Weekly is an eclectic rolling challenge which occasionally, as in this case, takes on a mammoth task. The DFB is one of the most iconic associations on the planet and the branding its representative side carries is instantly recognisable.

One of the finest Kit of the Week (KOTW) stages we’ve had recently was the one that was instigated due to a certain Northeast Premier League side’s takeover by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF). You may have read about the latter.

The double nelson chapter dedicated to Newcastle United delivered in spades, with many seeing the possibility of current kit supplier Castore being replaced by one of the big three - adidas, Nike or Puma - and the current, kit-four-mulating sponsor making way for the logo of the state-owned oil company, Saudi Aramco.

With the Crest Redesign Competition Weekly (CRCW), it’s often the case that the subject matter is a major football club or international team with a glorious history.

Sometimes, on the other hand, it’s a team that just has an impactful identity. They don’t come more impactful than that of Missile Football Club.
